The Nominating Committee invites members of the congregation to join us for a discussion meeting on Sunday, May 7 at 12:30, in the sanctuary and on Zoom, in advance of the annual congregational meeting on May 21.

At this year’s congregational meeting, the Nominating Committee will be putting forward a motion to extend the existing suspension of certain portions of the bylaws for the next fiscal year (2023-2024) to enable UUCT to continue to assess the appropriate Governance model for the congregation. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a time for questions and discussion so the congregation can get the information they need to vote at the congregational meeting.The findings and recommendations of the Nominating Committee’s report to the congregation on the governance structure experiment will also be discussed.

As the sponsor of last year’s motion, the Nominating Committee committed to providing a report to the congregation this spring. The report describes the work we have done this year, summarizes findings and recommendations we have on governance and leadership development, and identifies issues that UUCT will need to work out.
