The 8th Principle Covenant

Yellow button that reads "Now is the time for The 8th Principle!"

We often say that Unitarian Universalism is a covenantal rather than creedal religion. Rather than professing a common set of beliefs, UU congregations and their members make promises with each other and their communities; mutual promises to journey together in certain ways.

Covenants are powerful. They can change a culture. They can transform relationships, communities, and institutions.

As UU’s we covenant individually and collectively to affirm and promote seven principles that declare our values and define our moral paths.

The 8th Principle is our covenant to strive for Beloved Community in our congregation and the wider world.

UUCT Allies for Racial Equity invite you to join us in this covenant.

  • journeying toward spiritual wholeness
  • by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community
  • by our actions
  • that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions
  • in ourselves and our institutions

UUCT Allies for Racial Equity invite you to join us in this covenant.
