New Year, New Ways to Stay Connected

Changes are coming to both the Meridian newsletter and our UUCT website. This Friday’s issue will be the last issue of the weekly Meridian newsletter, with future issues being published monthly. The change is necessitated by a transformation of the UUCT website to a UUA theme that has different technological capabilities.

The next Meridian issue will be published in early February with a focus on substantive articles that may include messages from leadership, Board meeting highlights, updates from shared ministries and social justice partners of the congregation, and articles written by you.

Events will not be included as part of the newsletter. Each week a Sunday morning e-mail will announce the Sunday service topic along with zoom information and events that will take place during the upcoming week. Targeted e-mails will continue for special matters such as Covid Task Force critical announcements and community gatherings like a Celebration of Life or a Festival on the Green, etc..

The UUA themed website transformation began late spring 2020. We are grateful to all of those that worked to make this transition possible including Anna Bethea, Rev. Holly Brown, Dan D’Arcangelis, Rei Meyers, Adriane Pitt, and Steve Urse. The launch is expected to occur Friday, January 14 or shortly thereafter.

Change can be good! If you would like to join a “soon to be formed” Communications Team to work on content and formatting for newsletters, website, and social media, contact Steve Urse at surse2@comcast.net.
