Monthly BIPOC Group
As a self-identifying person of color, you are welcomed to attend our monthly gathering. We are an informal group coming together to share and support our community. For more information contact Rosa Morgan or Meagan Chisholm.
Our next meeting is Sunday, March 28 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. To join our Zoom gathering, click here.
Special Newcomer/Guest Break-out Room Every Sunday After the Service
Newcomers and other guests, whether you have attended one virtual service or many, please join us in a special break-out room any Sunday during the social time following the service. You are welcome to participate in this break-out room more than once. It will be an opportunity for you to get to know us and us to get to know you. You can also share about what brought you to UUCT and ask questions you might have. And if you would rather just participate in one of the general break-out rooms during social time, you are always invited to do so. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the break-out room or about the church, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
– The Welcome Team (Trudy Deyle, Sally Andersen and others)
You are welcome to join us every Sunday from 3 PM to 4 PM on Zoom. We are a community of meditators who come together for a chance to center ourselves with calm and focus. Each week a member of the group leads the meditation, drawing from a variety of Buddhist thought. Our usual practice starts with a guided meditation or a passage reading while seated, followed by a walking meditation, then finishing with a silent meditation. At the conclusion, we share our experiences with each other.
Whether you are new or seasoned to the practice of meditation, all are welcome. Please email Ardenkelly@yahoo.com for the Zoom link invitation to be sent to you every Saturday.
Arden Kelly is a Director & Teaching Artist Acting/Voice & Speech/Voiceover/Singer pursuing a Masters in London
Art Walk Unveiling, Community Mural, and Easter Egg Hunt
Sunday, March 28th we debut the art walk around the UUCT grounds featuring pieces by UUCT community members Robin Gray and Katie Clark. Community members are invited to come by the church from 3:00 – 5:00 PM to view the pieces and add their handprints to an intergenerational garden-themed community mural. This will be the first of several opportunities to participate.
Pre-registration is encouraged – though not required – for the art walk. This will allow us to pre-print our contact tracing forms and have a sense of how many people we’re expecting. Please use the brief form below to pre-register for the event.
Friday, April 2nd the walk and mural are available from 6:00-8:00 PM. Our youth group is having a bonfire at 8:00 PM.
Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 3rd UUCT is hosting a no-contact Easter egg hunt for our families from 11:00-1:00 PM. Families will also have the opportunity to participate in the Art Walk and add handprints to the mural. Pre-registration is required; please use the form below to do so.
Later that Saturday from 2:00-4:00 PM every community member is welcome to the campus for the final opportunity to participate in the art walk, community mural, and to pick up a flower craft that will be used in our Flower Communion during Sunday service on April 4.
While many will enjoy the opportunity for a shared experience, those not ready to do so or who have conflicts during that time can still view the displayed art at your convenience between Mach 28 and April 4. If others are present, mask wearing and social distance guidelines still apply.
Join us weekly via Zoom for a synergistic interfaith spiritual practice of many forms of singing, chanting, and group observation of silence.
The goal is to help each participant reach a place within themselves where they can connect with the Divine, their Inner Core, the Spirit of Life; wherever they find Peace. Led by Angel de Armendi, Music Director.
Singing Meditation will is on an alternating Tuesday/Thursday rotation schedule. Our next gathering will be Thursday, April 1 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
If interested in joining or for more information, contact Music Director Angel de Armendi at email@example.com

Food For Thought – Can we lower our chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease?
Can we lower our chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease? Can we really avoid losing our cognitive abilities as we age?
At our April 8th 2021 Food For Thought zoom meeting, we will find out how to keep our brains healthy – what foods to eat and what habits we should develop. We will watch two short videos, one by Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine and the other featuring Dr. Greger, author of the book, How Not to Die.
We will also learn about Dr. Fuhrman’s G-BOMBS, the acronym for the foods that build up our immune systems, which is so critical during this pandemic.
Come join us on Thursday, April 8th at 7:00 PM. If you are not on the Food For Thought mailing list, please contact Linda Oaksford at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that you will receive the link for the zoom meeting.
Church Work Day
Join us Saturday, April 10 from 9 AM – 2 PM for our monthly church work day.
Feel free to bring your lunch. Social distancing guidelines will be followed. For more information contact Bonnie Abellera.
Even if you can only help for an hour or two, that will be appreciated.
Hope to see you there!
