Special Newcomer/Guest Break-out Room Every Sunday After the Service
Newcomers and other guests, whether you have attended one virtual service or many, please join us in a special break-out room any Sunday during the social time following the service. You are welcome to participate in this break-out room more than once. It will be an opportunity for you to get to know us and us to get to know you. You can also share about what brought you to UUCT and ask questions you might have. And if you would rather just participate in one of the general break-out rooms during social time, you are always invited to do so. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the break-out room or about the church, please email: email@example.com
– The Welcome Team (Trudy Deyle, Sally Andersen and others)
You are welcome to join us every Sunday from 1 PM to 2:30 PM on Zoom. We are a community of meditators who come together for a chance to center ourselves with calm and focus. Each week a member of the group leads the meditation, drawing from a variety of Buddhist thought. Our usual practice starts with a guided meditation or a passage reading while seated, followed by a walking meditation, then finishing with a silent meditation. At the conclusion, we share our experiences with each other.
Whether you are new or seasoned to the practice of meditation, all are welcome. Please email Ardenkelly@yahoo.com for the Zoom link invitation to be sent to you every Saturday.
Arden Kelly is a Director & Teaching Artist Acting/Voice & Speech/Voiceover/Singer pursuing a Masters in London.
Join us weekly via Zoom for a synergistic interfaith spiritual practice of many forms of singing, chanting, and group observation of silence.
The goal is to help each participant reach a place within themselves where they can connect with the Divine, their Inner Core, the Spirit of Life; wherever they find Peace. Led by Angel de Armendi, Music Director.
Singing Meditation is on an alternating Tuesday/Thursday rotation schedule. Our next gathering will be Tuesday, November 2 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Use the following link to join our zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/319800919 Meeting ID: 319 800 919

Allies for Racial Equity (ARE@UUCT)
ARE@UUCT began meeting bi-weekly in early September 2020, patterning ourselves after the UUA organization, Allies for Racial Equity. We share leadership and make decisions by consensus. We ground ourselves in our UU Principles and make relationship building a priority. We are UUCT members with white privilege working to:
- Understand our own whiteness and privilege and help others in our church community to do so
- Unlearn and re-evaluate white supremacy in ourselves and our church community
- Challenge white supremacy wherever we encounter it.
ARE@UUCT group meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6:30 pm. Our next meeting will be Monday, November 8. For more information, contact Linda Wright.
Indwellers Group at UUCT
Adults 25-49 are invited to join Indwellers, a new cohort group for socialization, community connection and spiritual exploration.
You can look forward to a bimonthly Zoom discussion on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, social events, and community care. Join us for our next Zoom discussion on Tuesday, November 9 at 8 PM.
For more information, contact Natalie Binder.
Old Guys Lunch

Christian Spirituality @ UUCT
Join us for a twice-monthly, Zoom Bible study. While each week’s Bible passage will be the focus of the meeting, the real purpose of Christian Spirituality is to create a friendly association, to give and receive support, and to find our lives expressed in the Bible.
Our meetings will be the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM For zoom information contact Alana Katherine “Kay” Stuart-Tilley at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 10.
Food for Thought
What? No Turkey this Year?
Delicious home-cooked dinners seem to be the main attraction for many Americans during the holiday season. Did you know that many people here in the United States and all over the world do not have roasts and turkeys as their main dish? So, what do vegans and other earth-conscious people serve for the holidays, if they are not roasting some kind of meat?
Come join us on November 11th at 7 PM on zoom for a discussion of what we can cook for the Thanksgiving and the other upcoming holidays. If you want your recipe to be shared with the group, please send it to Linda Oaksford at least a few days before our meeting. However, don’t worry if you don’t have a recipe to share. We would love for you to join us anyway!
If you are not on our Food for Thought email list, contact Linda Oaksford at email@example.com, and you will receive a link shortly before November 11th.
Church Work Day
Join us this Saturday, November 13 from 9 AM – 2 PM for our monthly church work day.
Current UUCT Covid Guidelines will be followed. For more information contact Bonnie Abellera.
Even if you can only help for an hour or two, that will be appreciated. Hope to see you there!
UU Explorations is a special Small Group Ministry for those interested in gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. This is a sharing and listening circle about topics that relate to the theme: What does it mean to be a Unitarian Universalist? It is an opportunity to get to know others on a deeper level and reflect together on important topics and concepts in Unitarian Universalism. At each gathering, we: check in with each other on how our lives are going, share our thoughts on one of twelve topics, simply listen to one another, and then share any further reflections we have. The circle is specifically not a class or discussion group.
UU Explorations meets every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM via Zoom. For more information, the current readings, and Zoom details contact Trudy Deyle. The next gathering will be held Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00 PM. The topic will be “Freedom and Interconnection in UUism: For Individuals and For Congregations”. We will meet the second Tuesday in December.
