Come, come, whoever you are: girl, boy, man, woman, parent, grandparent, child; holding various beliefs, whatever your skin color, whatever your physical abilities, whomever you love, you are welcome at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee. You are welcome in this religious home.

New UU Sessions
We encourage those interested in learning more about our church, and especially those interested in becoming members or supporting friends, to attend our New UU sessions. These sessions are offered on a regular basis throughout the year, usually two weeknights from 7:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m., but occasionally in a one, three-hour Sunday afternoon session. They are co-facilitated by church members and our minister.

Participants will be introduced to Unitarian Universalism and district, regional, and denominational activities. The history, structure, and activities of our congregation will be covered, including how to get involved. Participants will also have the opportunity to briefly share their own spiritual journeys and ask our minister questions. The sessions are a great way to connect with our minister, a couple of UUCT members, and other newcomers who are at the same stage in UUCT involvement.

Check the membership section of our newsletter for upcoming New UU dates. To sign-up, complete a sign-up sheet located at the back of our sanctuary, or contact the church office by phone: 385-5115; or email: uuct@nettally.com. Childcare is available on request.

Becoming a Member or Supporting Friend
To discuss becoming a member of the church, speak with the membership chair, the UUCT board president, or the minister. They will try to answer any questions you might have or point you toward resources that will.

What is required to become a member?
Be at least 18 years old and in sympathy with the church’s purposes and programs.
Make a "recorded" financial contribution or pledge, identified as being from you.
Sign the Membership Book.
Participate in the life of the congregation. When possible, serve on a committee, volunteer to help with special projects, and offer your special skills and knowledge where needed.

Membership is open to all persons regardless of race, color, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, or national origin. There is no creedal requirement.

Those wishing to support the church financially and with their time, but not quite ready to become members, may choose to become supporting friends for as short or as long a time as they feel comfortable.

Forms for becoming either a member or supporting friend are available from the church office or the membership chair.

The UUCT Covenant of Membership
As members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee, we agree to support each other's spiritual quests and service to others. We will help each other identify, develop, and apply our gifts, and we will be faithful stewards and givers of time, energy, and money.

We come with open hearts and open minds, expecting to find—and doing our part to provide—a religious community that nurtures, unites, and empowers. This we do covenant and thus may it be.
