Treasurer’s November Report to Congregation
by Ev Anderson, Disbursing Treasurer
UUCT collected $27,512 in current-year pledges during November, a record. The pro-rated target for the month is $19,877. Total year-to-date pledge payments are $119,537 in an annual budget of $238,519. Stated differently, we have collected a half year’s pledge payments in just five months.
This happy news masks a shortfall in Sunday plate collections. Still, total budgeted church income from all sources is over target by 4.3%.
Meanwhile, expenses remain in check. Despite spot overspending for coffee, RE supplies and building supplies, total expenses are 2% under target.
Netting out income and expenses, the former exceeded the latter by $13,314 in November and by a whopping $24,404 for the first five months of this church year. This provides a nice cushion if, as expected, pledge payments in future months do not match the torrid pace set from July through November.
Outside the operating budget, members donated $448 to UUSC in November. A single donor gave $1,000 to the minister’s discretionary fund, while the playground fund grew by $438.

As we move into the holiday season, we on the Finance Committee would like to thank the entire UUCT community for your past and future financial support of our beloved community –- not to mention your countless volunteer hours that are more precious than money.
