Green Sanctuary Movie, Sun., Sept. 19, 5:00-7:00 PM in Rm L. BLACK WAVE: The Legacy of the Exxon Valdez shows the effects of the Exxon Valdez oil spill on wildlife and people, and the long legal battle against the powerful oil company. All are invited. Contact: Sara Reece.

Association Sunday, Oct. 3. UUCT will join other UU churches in having a special collection in celebration of the past 50 years of Unitarian Universalism and its future. Proceeds will go toward ensuring our faith thrives by funding pilot projects resulting from this spring’s growth consultation.

Mountain Social Change Institute 10/21-24, Janisse Ray – writer, naturalist & activist, "Courage in the Face of Melting Glaciers"

More about Janisse Ray:
As an organizer and activist, Janisse works to create sustainable communities, local food systems, a stable global climate, intact ecosystems, clean rivers, life-enhancing economies, and participatory democracy. Her books include: Ecology of a Cracker Childhood, a memoir about growing up in the ruined longleaf pine ecosystem of the Southeast; Wild Card Quilt: Taking a Chance on Home about rural community; and Pinhook: Finding Wholeness in a Fragmented Land, the story of a wild land corridor between south GA and north FL.
