Message from the Minister, A Poem

— by William Levwood, UUCT Minister

without this, spring would not come

Embrace the gifts darkness brings.  The rain falls, saturating the soil.  Roots reach out and down.  The roots do their work in darkness.  Without this, spring would not come.

Life reaches out into the unknown.  Full with life the tree pulls life, like fire, up into itself. And the branches, the branches reach up and out.  Blindly the branches drink in the light.  Without this, spring would not come.
